Description/Job Summary

NASC is currently seeking a Human Resources Specialist for the Warminster HQ office.  This person will be responsible for multiple HR functions including benefits, training, employee relations, affirmative action and recruitment.  The desired candidate will be working alongside the Director of HR with the day-to-day HR functions.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Complete all enrollments and terminations of the NASC health benefits
  • Manage and evaluate the health, life, prescription and dental plans and work with NASC’s insurance broker on annual renewals
  • Process life insurance and Short Term Disability Claims and workers compensation claims
  • Monitor and track COBRA and monthly insurance bills for accuracy
  • Assist employees with benefit questions and concerns
  • Assist employees with claims denied by insurance companies
  • Assist hiring managers with recruitment needs and meet hiring goals
  • Source and screen candidates and arrange interviews
  • Manage ATS (job postings job/candidate tracking workflow)
  • Source and attract candidates to include passive candidates, through social media (i.e. LinkedIn) and networking
  • Continuously develop networks/partnerships to actively build database/pipeline of candidates and the company brand
  • Prepare organized spreadsheets and records for each recruiting request
  • Maintains files and documents on numerous reports
  • Monitors compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local laws as well as company policies
  • Handle NASC corporate wide required training, training forms, and training requests
  • Familiar with affirmative action requirements
  • Maintain individual and departmental training records, including those of renewal training and updating training
  • Support employees with training needs and working with IT on company required training
  • Identify areas that require training and research necessary training to meet those needs
  • Assist managers on position descriptions for each employee and ensuring they are current

Required Qualifications

2-5 years’ experience in the Human Resource field

At least 1 year of recruiting experience a plus

At least 1 year of benefits experience a plus

Experience in DoD Human Resource policies and procedures a plus

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products

Excellent verbal and written communications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR or related field
