Description/Job Summary

Navmar Applied Sciences Corporation has an ongoing requirement for experienced Group 3 – Group UAS Mission Commanders. This position is CONUS and requires relocation to Ivyland, PA. The Mission Commander (MC) is responsible for the safe completion of all phases of the mission (ground and flight). The MC shall be familiar with the operation of all systems of the air vehicle and ground control station. Responsibilities for mission planning include crewmembers start

time/finish time, Preflight (Aircraft Move), Takeoff clearances and procedures, flight duration, emergencies, weather check, etc.

Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate with Pilot, Sensor Operator, and local airspace authority to ensure successful flight operations
  • Monitor checklist usage to ensure team compliance
  • Assist with set-up and breakdown of Ground Control Station or NASC Mobile Operations Center (MOC) and antennas
  • Perform preflight and post-flight inspections
  • Participates in all phases of launch and recovery sequences
  • Assist in performing aircraft technician tasks including scheduled/unscheduled maintenance and integration of new aircraft systems and/or payloads
  • Assist in the drafting/editing of aircraft operations and maintenance manuals, aircraft operations related reports and technical briefs
  • Support shop duties when not on travel including UAS Production activities
Travel to area of operation will be required for this position

Required Qualifications

Qualifications:


  • Mission Commander experience required
  • Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
  • Piccolo Command Center knowledge preferred
  • RC aircraft pilot experience desired
  • Technical/Mechanical experience is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • FAA Private Pilot License
